What’s It to Ya? Chambers Quote

“(Jesus) never lost hope for anyone, because he put his trust in God first.  He trusted absolutely in what God’s grace could do for others.  If I put my trust in human beings first, the end result will be my despair and hopelessness toward everyone.  I will become bitter because I have insisted that people be what no person could ever be- absolutely156 perfect and right.  Never trust anything in yourself or anyone else, except the grace of God.”  -Oswald Chambers

  1. I am reminded of what Pastor Rick said yesterday on this topic. He related forgiveness to releasing the offending party of the debt (real or perceived) they owe you. This action has everything to do with our own actions and well being, even though we cannot control the actions of others. Chambers reminds me of our impotency as humans in many areas. Thank you, Sweet Lord, for grace. Thank you for releasing me of the debt that I am so unwilling to release in others.
