I am sitting on my porch this morning watching a slow moving line of storm clouds creep over my hometown. I am struck by the contrasts- the dark, brooding clouds hovering over the silver line of morning sky below; the verdant canopy of spring beneath the impending charcoal of gloom above.
It is very much the picture of life here as we wait with all of God’s creation for the Prince of Peace to return so that we might, at last, be fully restored.
Life is a juxtaposition of joy and sadness…the light and the dark.
And so we cling to the Savior in the storm and dance with Him with joy when the sun breaks through the clouds because He has promised, promised that though this world may be full of trouble…He has overcome (John 16:33)
